Missing is the fact that Kuwait was slant drilling for oil into territory under dispute between Iraq and Kuwait. Also, Hosni Mubarak was going to mediate the dispute, but Kuwait cancelled days before the scheduled date, but after US Ambassador April Glaspie (still under gag order) told Saddam that the US took no part in Arab-Arab disputes. Purely cohen-cidental, I'm sure.
This has been public knowledge for a long time, but has been consistently swept under the rug. Thanks for pointing it out for a new generation to see. The people responsible for such lies should be tried for being parties to genocide.
